Mark has practiced in virtually every area of the law, and has appeared before all levels of Court, including the Supreme Court of Canada. He maintains a vigorous real estate practice, handling high value agricultural and commercial deals, refinances, estate sales, and auctions. He also provides expert advice for estate planning and administration, and continues to be instrumental in the firm’s litigation practice. Mark has been adjudicator, investigator, and counsel for numerous administrative tribunals, including the Real Estate Council of Alberta, Alberta College and Association of Registered Nurses, Student Finance Board of Alberta, Corrections Canada, and the National Parole Board.
Mark is a long-time resident of Westlock, where he and his wife live out their strong commitment to giving back. He has contributed to numerous community organizations, including Big Brothers and Big Sisters, and has been integral to the Town’s development.
Mark leads by example. He has mentored the entire Properzi Tims team, and provides an irreplaceable depth of legal knowledge to the firm. In recognition of his thirty seven years of service to the legal profession and the public, Mark was appointed Queen’s Counsel in 2006.
